With an extraordinary career spanning two decades, Dr G. Raja Amarnath can be hailed as a pioneer in Pulmonology and Critical Care in India. He holds the crown of not just the Founder of CIPACA but that of a distinguished professor, researcher, and clinical editor in several reputed teaching hospitals, and national and international organizations.

Dr Raja Amarnath's vision to set up at least one standardized ICU at every taluka of the country is deemed revolutionary even by the Government of India. His concept of 'Drop-in-ICUs' has saved more than 1,50,000 lives across the country's rural counterparts in seven years.

Being trained in Pulmonology and Critical Care from India and abroad, he is also a proclaimed Indian Professor who teaches under and postgraduate medical students in several teaching hospitals across Chennai. Dr Raja is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh, UK, and an active member of National and International bodies like the Indian Medical Council, American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP), and European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESCIM). He is also an Executive Member of the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM).

Apart from his noble idea of making ICUs available for the country's rural people, Dr Raja is also a Senior Consultant at a reputed corporate hospital in Chennai and Director of several other companies. He has published over 29 research articles and participated in 163 medical conferences and CMEs across the nation and globe.

He was the former Chief of Operations at Sree Balaji Medical College & Hospital. Apart from this, he is also the Chairman, Director, Vice President and Regional Head of several national and international organizations.

He is instrumental in having external partnerships in medical areas including ICU and laboratory services. He has excelled in taking human relationships (and resources) management to the highest level for the greatest benefit of all institutions and businesses he has been involved in.

Dr Jaya Prasanthi

Dr Jaya Prasanthi is the Research Director at CIPACA, committed to bringing emergency and ICU services to the doorstep of the common man.

Currently, she is a consultant microbiologist at Medvision Scans and Diagnostic Centre Private Limited.

She was the former consultant and in-charge of laboratories at FMC, Babuji Memorial Ashram, Manapakkam, Chennai. She was entrusted with overseeing the entire administration and operational workflow in FMC, Babuji Memorial Ashram.

As an aspirant pursuing a Fellowship in Infectious Diseases from the University of South Wales, Australia, she is dedicated to research in the fields of health care especially in family medicine, microbiology, infectious diseases and diabetology.

Dr Prasanthi has also released a few significant research articles on proclaimed national and internal platforms in the past few years.

With the single objective of exploring the deeper aspects of medicine and using that knowledge for the benefit of mankind, she works relentlessly towards the empowerment of different kinds of alternative medicine, yoga and meditation as complementary therapy in confronting various physical and mental health problems.
